Satori Zen Terms of Use

Effective: 2026-08-30 · Last updated: 2026-08-30

1. Who these terms are with

Satori Zen is provided by UNIGATA INC., based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. By installing or using Satori Zen you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

2. 🔴 What Satori Zen is, and what it is not

Satori Zen is a player. It connects to sources you already have — your own server, your own subscriptions, your own files — and presents them.

We supply no content whatsoever. We do not host, stream, index, sell, resell or provide access to any media. We have no relationship with any content provider, and no list of sources ships with the app.

You are responsible for what you connect it to, and for having the right to access it. Using Satori Zen to reach content you are not entitled to is a breach of these terms and may be unlawful where you live.

3. Your account

You need an account to sync your setup across devices. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.

4. Devices

Your plan includes a number of devices. Registering more than that will ask you to remove one first. Replacing a phone is expected and is not meant to cost you a slot — remove the old device from Settings.

5. Your credentials and your AI key

6. Subscriptions and payment

Satori Zen offers a free trial and paid plans (Basic and Complete, each monthly, annual, or as a one-time permanent licence).

If your subscription lapses, paid features stop but nothing is deleted. Your account and encrypted backup are kept until you delete them.

7. The AI features

Transcription, translation and Kai send data from your device to the AI provider you configure, using your key. Those requests are governed by that provider's terms, and its output is theirs to characterise — an AI transcript can be wrong, and it is not a substitute for the original audio.

8. Acceptable use

Do not: use Satori Zen unlawfully; connect it to content you have no right to access; try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to it; or share your account to evade the device limit.

We may suspend an account that does these things.

9. Availability and liability

We try to keep Satori Zen working and we do not promise it always will. It depends on sources, networks and providers we do not control, and any of them may change or stop without notice.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, for content that becomes unavailable, for charges you incur with an AI provider, or for a backup that cannot be decrypted.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or CAD $50.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Ontario. Nothing here prevents you from bringing a claim in a small-claims court that would otherwise have jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date changes, and a material change will be surfaced in the app before it takes effect.
